The Assistant Deputy/Appraiser Analyst assists in carrying out administrative, fiscal, and clerical functions of the department.Duties and ResponsibilitiesInclude but are not limited to the following as other duties may be assigned:Develops appraisals of residential and commercial properties using property appraisal techniques and statistical analysis.Assists Township Assessors with yearly and quadrennial assessments and trains assessors in the technical aspects of their duties and assists in utilizing Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) software.Assists with County abstract and other statistical reports, as well as reports, coordinates, and distributes work assignments to clerical staff.Assists property owners to resolve complaints and answers questions regarding taxes and appraisal values.Qualifications(Preferred) Bachelor's degree from a four year college/university or 3-5 years of responsible administrative and supervisory experience.Ability to interpret statutes and regulations pertaining to property assessment.Designation as a Certified Illinois Assessing Officer (CIAO) is required; to be completed within 1 year of hire.Continuing Education is required to maintain CIAO designation.High attention to detail.Organizational skills.Proficiency with numbers and computers.Ability to work as a team member.Ability to work well with others.CompensationWage Range: $27.92 - $41.80 per hour.Champaign County is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, health insurance, life insurance, and employer contributions to a defined-benefit retirement plan.paid time offhealth insurancelife insuranceemployer contributions to a defined-benefit retirement planBenefit details can be found on the Champaign County Jobs page.For questions or to request accommodations, please reach out to Paula Bates by phone at 217-384-3760.#J-18808-Ljbffr
