Traffic Control Director – Lead Highway and Infrastructure Operations for Flasher Equipment Company
You will step into a high-impact leadership role with real operational authority to shape and scale our traffic control division. As an established TxDOT subcontractor, we provide a fast-paced environment where your strategic decisions directly impact major highway infrastructure. This role offers the autonomy to run a critical division and build a long-term legacy.
Direct daily logistics and operations for the traffic control division.
Supervise and mentor field crews and flaggers across multiple simultaneous job sites.
Interpret Traffic Control Plans (TCP) to proactively catch and resolve compliance issues.
Coordinate directly with subcontractors, vendors, and TxDOT representatives to ensure seamless execution.
Maintain rigorous documentation of field operations, safety meetings, and asset management.
Oversee deployment and utilization of arrow boards, attenuators, and temporary barrier systems.
Minimum of 5 years of direct work zone and traffic control management experience.
Proven track record of leading field crews across simultaneous highway construction projects.
Strong proficiency in interpreting complex Traffic Control Plans (TCP) and TxDOT regulations.
Deep operational knowledge of traffic control equipment, message boards, and safety logistics.
Active ATSSA certification.
Existing professional relationships within the local TxDOT district.
Technical certifications such as Work Zone Traffic Control for Contractor Responsible Person (CRP) or Flagger Train the Trainer.
