Unleash your talent and redefine what's possible. Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented AEGIS Based Defense Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be part of a talented and mission oriented professional team of federal engineers, active-duty Naval Officers and Contract staff who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get missile defense capability out to the Fleet. You will also be part of a team of some of the best and brightest Engineers and scientists our country has to offer. What You Will Be Doing With Us:Work between Next Generation Missile Defense and the Munitions Acceleration CouncilResponsible for maintaining and executing the cohesive strategy that integrates NGMD advancements with accelerated munitions productionEnsure as new capabilities and technologies become available, they are quickly incorporated into ongoing production for delivery to the warfighterProvide direct oversight and facilitate cross functional collaboration among program teams from development and prototyping to production and sustainmentAligning technical roadmap for NGMD integrationResponsible for the introduction of disruptive technologies, ensuring a unified architectural approach, resolving system integration challenges and transitioning to productionWhat We Need From You:US Citizenship with Active Secret ClearanceBachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline degree related to area of specialty (NOTE: Newly-hired PhD graduates are typically hired into this level.)5+ years of related professional experienceMastery of MS Office suite and familiarity with collaborative tools such as Jira, Confluence or TeamsMissile System ExperienceThese Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have:Bachelor's Degree in STEM Field7+ Years experienceActive TS/SCI ClearancePrior experience with Weapons Systems DeploymentExperience with Missile Systems EngineeringTechnical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.Security Clearance Requirement: An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.
