ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, trouble shoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on digital recording systems
Install, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on fire alarm systems
Install, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on other low voltage systems including security alarms and wireless receivers
Install, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on IP cameras and related wiring
Perform other general maintenance and administrative tasks
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
High School Diploma/GED
2 years of work experience and/or completion of formal training with digital recording systems, computer networking, alarms, electrical and/or other related fields
Preferred:
2-year degree in in computer networking or electronics
Familiarity with fire prevention and suppression systems
Skills
Required:
Accurate and detail-oriented
Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
Excellent verbal communication skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
Abilities
Required:
Ability to work fast and efficiently
Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
Ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair specialized equipment
REQUIRED TRAINING
Treasure Island guest service training
Training on all specialized security systems functions and equipment used at Treasure Island
Complete proficiency certification on primary systems within 12 months
Any position-related training as determined by division director
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to walk and / or stand and sit for long periods throughout the day
Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel and stoop
Must be able to reach and twist routinely, occasionally
Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
Must be able to safety operate and work from a boom lift, utilize safety harnesses, and climb to elevated heights without physical restrictions
Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds routinely
Must have manual dexterity necessary to manipulate equipment
Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
Must be able to navigate stairs and work at high elevations routinely
Must have good eye hand coordination
Must be able to operate foot pedals
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed throughout the entire property (inside and outdoors) and may include flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
Occasionally overtime may be required
