Responsibilities include training and guiding wheelchair attendants, managing schedules, and coordinating with the Wheelchair Dispatcher for efficient operations. You will also address escalated passenger concerns, ensuring a positive experience and resolving issues effectively. Additionally, this role involves regular communication with airport staff and management to maintain service standards and ensure compliance with airport regulations.RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the daily operations of the wheelchair assistance teamCoordinate and assign tasks to wheelchair attendants based on flight schedules and passenger needsTrain new attendants in proper wheelchair handling and safety proceduresEnsure compliance with all airport regulations and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) guidelinesMonitor the condition and availability of wheelchairs and related equipmentAddress and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during operationsMaintain effective communication with airline staff, airport authorities, and other service teamsConduct regular performance evaluations of wheelchair attendantsImplement strategies to improve service efficiency and passenger satisfactionLiaise with maintenance teams to ensure timely repair and upkeep of equipmentPrepare and analyze reports on service metrics and attendant performanceAssist in the development of policies and procedures to enhance service qualityManage emergency situations with professionalism and in accordance with established protocolsFoster a positive and supportive work environment for the wheelchair assistance teamExemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standardsPerform any additional duties as assigned by managementQUALIFICATIONS 18 years of age or olderMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)1 year of wheelchair experienceAbility to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile DevicesEffectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic meansPass a background check and drug screenEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidaysTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential requirement satisfactorily.
