Position Summary
The Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst serves as the lead protective intelligence professional supporting Executive Protection, senior leadership, and critical business operations. This position is responsible for identifying, analyzing, assessing, and communicating threats to executives, company personnel, facilities, and operations by integrating open-source intelligence (OSINT), threat intelligence, behavioral threat assessment methodologies, travel risk intelligence, and protective intelligence operations. The role proactively monitors emerging threats, conducts executive risk assessments, provides protective intelligence support for executive travel and events, and develops actionable intelligence that enables informed security decisions. The Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst partners closely with Executive Protection Agents, the SOC, Cybersecurity, and external intelligence providers to identify and mitigate threats before they impact the organization.
Essential Responsibilities
Protective Intelligence & Threat Assessment
- Conduct intelligence collection, analysis, and threat assessments related to executives, board members, high-profile employees, facilities, and corporate events.
- Identify, evaluate, and monitor potential threats from individuals, groups, or movements that may impact executive safety or business operations.
- Develop and maintain behavioral threat assessment case files and intelligence products.
- Produce executive-focused intelligence reports, risk assessments, and protective intelligence briefings.
- Conduct digital footprint assessments and identify online exposure risks to executives and family members.
- Support workplace violence prevention initiatives through threat identification and intelligence analysis.
OSINT & Intelligence Collection
- Perform advanced OSINT research across social media platforms, forums, websites, public records, dark web resources, and specialized intelligence databases.
- Monitor online sentiment, protest activity, extremist movements, stalking behaviors, doxxing attempts, and other indicators of risk.
- Utilize intelligence platforms, subscription services, and governmental reporting to identify emerging threats.
- Develop intelligence collection plans and investigative methodologies to support ongoing threat cases.
- Maintain awareness of geopolitical, criminal, cyber-enabled, and social threats that may impact executive safety or travel.
Executive Protection Support
- Provide intelligence support for executive travel, events, public appearances, shareholder meetings, and other high-profile activities.
- Conduct advance intelligence reviews of locations, venues, hotels, transportation routes, and event environments.
- Produce pre-travel intelligence reports including country risk, crime trends, civil unrest, medical concerns, and transportation risks.
- Support executive movement planning through continuous threat monitoring and real-time intelligence updates.
- Work directly with Executive Protection Agents to identify, assess, and mitigate mission-specific risks.
- Participate in executive protection operations during elevated threat situations when intelligence expertise is required.
Monitoring & Incident Response
- Maintain continuous monitoring of threat reporting, intelligence feeds, social media, public information sources, and relevant security platforms.
- Provide immediate notification and escalation of high-risk incidents affecting executives or operations.
- Develop intelligence warnings, alerts, advisories, and executive bulletins.
- Support crisis management and emergency response activities through intelligence gathering and situational awareness products.
- Assist in post-incident investigations and intelligence lessons-learned reviews.
Program Development
- Assist in the development and maturation of the Executive Protective Intelligence Program.
- Establish threat indicators, intelligence requirements, and reporting standards.
- Maintain intelligence databases, watchlists, and case management systems.
- Develop metrics and trend analysis supporting executive security decision-making.
- Evaluate emerging intelligence tools, technologies, and best practices to improve program effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Security Management, International Relations, Political Science, Cyber Intelligence, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in threat intelligence, protective intelligence, investigations, executive protection intelligence support, law enforcement intelligence, military intelligence, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience conducting OSINT investigations and threat assessments.
- Experience supporting executive protection operations, dignitary protection, protective services, or high-profile individuals.
- Strong analytical writing and briefing capabilities.
- Experience with social media intelligence collection and online threat investigations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances or authorizations.
- Ability to travel up to 25% as business needs require.
Preferred Requirements
- Master's degree in Intelligence Studies, Security Management, Homeland Security, or related discipline.
- Experience in a corporate executive protection environment.
- Experience working within a fusion center, intelligence center, law enforcement intelligence unit, military intelligence organization, or protective intelligence program.
- Experience conducting behavioral threat assessments.
- Experience supporting Fortune 500 executive protection programs.
- Familiarity with utility, energy, or critical infrastructure security environments.
