Defense Travel System Support Specialist

Credence has an immediate need for a Defense Travel System Support Specialist in support of Army INSCOM program at Fort Belvoir, VA. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below:

  • Review Defense Travel System (DTS) transactions and provide desk-side, help desk, email, and phone customer support for DTS technical assistance and immediate travel-related support needs.
  • Process newly assigned and departing personnel in DTS and provide related administrative support.
  • Ensure approving officials and reviewers are appointed in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare documentation to recommend appropriate funding alignment to Lines of Accounting in DTS.
  • Review and process incoming DTS authorizations and vouchers and submit them to Government personnel for validation.
  • Support the Lead Defense Travel Administrator (LDTA) in maintaining DTS administration, accounting of travel expenditures, and travel voucher review processes.
  • Process newly assigned and departing personnel in the Government Travel Card (GTC) program, process GTC credit applications, and create or modify user profiles within CitiDirect.
  • Assist with GTC account maintenance and provide desk-side, email, and phone technical assistance for GTC-related issues.
  • Prepare monthly reports and plan, coordinate, and provide DTS training.

Requirements Education, Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must have an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance, verifiable in DISS or Scattered Castle.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing DTS Organizational Defense Travel Administrator (ODTA) support.
  • Preferred: Associate degree.
  • Five additional years of DTS ODTA experience and Travel Certificate Program Certification may be substituted for an associate degree.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience and knowledge of the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), Financial Management Regulations (FMR), and Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) regulations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with senior military and civilian officials, managers, and subordinates.
