Operations Management Position

This operations management position will be on a dynamic team responsible for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) afloat and ashore communications support, maintenance, sustainment, and integration on various U.S. Coast Guard platforms in the Charleston, South Carolina area. In this role, you will:
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day operations supporting U.S. Coast Guard C5ISR readiness, integration, sustainment, and technical services across afloat and ashore platforms.
- Support operational execution across platforms such as WPB, WMEC, WHEC, WAGB, WMSL/NSC, FRC, OPC, PSC, shore/mobile platforms, DSF units, MFPU, Training Center platforms, and associated U.S. Navy platforms.
- Review and implement operational policies, practices, procedures, and work priorities to meet contract and mission objectives.
- Assign or delegate responsibilities, organize resources, resolve operational issues, prepare schedules, and set deadlines to ensure timely completion of work.
- Coordinate activities related to site surveys, readiness assessments, technical assistance, remote support, system integration, testing, and System Operational Verification Tests (SOVTs).
- Work closely with Government customers, internal teams, and cross-functional support areas to ensure efficient and effective mission execution.
- Ensure staff readiness, training coordination, and compliance with organizational policies, contract procedures, and security requirements.
- Support shared operational functions including technical documentation, integrated logistics support, warehousing, training coordination, configuration management, and inventory and asset accountability.
- Prepare and support operational reporting requirements, including Program Management Reviews (PMRs), Task Order Status Reports (TOSR), weekly status reports, and POA&M updates.
- Monitor and analyze operational costs, support budget tracking, and help manage execution against scope, schedule, staffing, and funding requirements.
- Support emergent mission requirements and travel as needed for customer support, operational troubleshooting, and fleet or site-based execution.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12+ years of professional experience in operations management.
- Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance is required to be considered.
- Experience managing and coordinating operational activities, assigning work, building schedules, organizing resources, resolving problems, and driving timely execution.
- Experience supporting complex operations in a DoD, Navy, Coast Guard, shipboard, shore-based, logistics, or technical services environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Government representatives, supervisors, and internal teams.
- Ability to work in the Charleston, SC area and travel as required in support of contract execution.
- Travel up to 10% may be required.
