Haley Stevens for Senate: Special Assistant
Location: Michigan (Statewide travel required)
Position Type: Full-time, campaign cycle
Reports To: Ops Director
Salary: $4,000/month

Haley Stevens is running for U.S. Senate to represent the people of Michigan with integrity, compassion, and a proven record of getting things done. Our campaign is powered by a dedicated team committed to expanding opportunities, protecting democracy, and building a brighter future for every Michigander.
Position Summary:
The Haley Stevens for Michigan Senate campaign is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and discreet Special Assistant to serve as a personal aide to the candidate. This role is crucial in supporting the day-to-day logistics, travel, and operations of the candidate's schedule, and ensuring events and appearances run smoothly. The ideal candidate will be quick-thinking, flexible, and deeply committed to the mission of the campaign.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accompany the candidate at all times during public appearances, events, in-state travel, and meetings
- Manage daily and long term schedules in coordination with the campaign's operations team
- Ensure the candidate has all necessary briefing materials, notes, and supplies
- Provide on-the-ground logistical support, including transport coordination, timing, and situational awareness
- Act as a liaison between the candidate and campaign staff, press, and stakeholders as needed
- Maintain the candidate's personal needs during long campaign days (food, water, wardrobe, etc.)
- Troubleshoot unexpected issues in real-time
- Assist Campaign Manager and other department heads with their schedule and briefing materials as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior campaign or political experience strongly preferred but not required
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to anticipate needs and adapt to a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Strong judgment, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality
- Willingness to travel extensively across Michigan
- Ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends
