New River Valley Community Services, one of the largest Community Service Boards in Virginia, works hard to stay on the pulse of innovative, evidence-based practices for providing high quality care to the NRV and we can use your help! Our outpatient program is seeking clinicians (LMHP or LMHP-E) to work with children and families in conjunction with the local court services unit. This collaboration will help ensure that young people and families have access to high quality mental health and/or substance use care. We offer flexible scheduling, licensure supervision for LPC and LCSW residents and supervisees, and are a National Health Services Corps Loan Repayment site.

Full time staff receive a complete benefits package including health insurance, Virginia Retirement System, PTO, life insurance, and more!

Starting Salary:

Clinician I: $46,706-Depending on Experience

Clinician II: $56,518-Depending on Experience

Education Requirements:

Court Services Unit-Clinician I:
  • Master's Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or other related field required.
  • Must be registered as a Resident in Counseling or Social Work Supervisee with the Virginia Board of Counseling within 3 months of hire.
Court Services Unit-Clinician II:
  • Master's Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or other related field required.
  • State of Virginia license is required in Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
Additional compensation will be considered for any new employees who speak multiple languages.
