U.S. Immigration Services Specialist

Join a dynamic and collaborative US Onshore Immigration & Mobility Services team, where you'll play a key role in supporting employment based immigration programs and helping deliver a seamless experience for employees, business leaders, and talent acquisition teams. As a Consultant, you will manage a diverse portfolio of immigration matters, provide guidance on immigration processes, collaborate with legal and business stakeholders, and support strategic workforce mobility initiatives. The role offers exposure to executive level cases, opportunities to work on complex immigration scenarios, and the chance to influence process improvements in a fast paced, global environment. CGI will consider candidates proximate any US CGI office. CGI utilizes a hybrid working model and partners should be prepared to work on site at a CGI office, as needed.

Your Future Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage employment based immigration cases, including green card, visa, extension, transfer, and complex immigration filings. Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR, business leaders, legal counsel, and external immigration providers and Offshore team to ensure timely and compliant case management. Review immigration petitions and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness, serving as an authorized signatory where applicable. Provide guidance and support on immigration processes, timelines, compliance requirements, and potential risks. Coordinate responses to government inquiries, employment verification requests, and site visit follow up activities. Monitor case progress, maintain accurate immigration records and case trackers, and ensure data integrity. Support and mentor offshore team members by providing process guidance and acting as the first point of escalation. Manage executive and high priority immigration cases with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Stay current with changes in U.S. immigration laws, policies, and regulatory requirements, and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders. Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver an exceptional stakeholder experience.

Required Qualifications to Be Successful in This Role:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Law, International Relations, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). Proven experience managing U.S. employment based immigration programs in a corporate environment or immigration law firm. Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration processes, including employment based visas, permanent residency (Green Card) processes, extensions, transfers, and related compliance requirements. Experience coordinating with immigration attorneys, external immigration service providers, and government agencies. Ability to review immigration documentation and petitions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex immigration concepts to diverse stakeholders. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities. High attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience using case management or immigration tracking systems. Strong stakeholder management, problem solving, and collaboration skills
