Job Title
This position is responsible for the filing of court cases and documents in a professional office environment.
ANNUAL SALARY: $42,145 (Estimated Annual Salary)
OPEN UNTIL FILLED – APPLICATION REVIEW BEGINS IMMEDIATELY
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties involved in this position are data entry driven. The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks including: opening new cases, filing documents, answering phones, assisting attorneys and members of the public in person, researching and responding to written correspondence. Performance of these duties requires knowledge of and adherence to the South Carolina Code of Laws, South Carolina Rules of Civil Procedure, rules and procedures of the South Carolina Supreme Court and South Carolina Court Administration, the SC Clerk of Court Manual, and policies and procedures of the Charleston County Clerk of Court.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education – High School (or GED), supplemented with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in courtroom setting or law office. Associates in any Degree, Paralegal preferred. Requires the ability to perform various duties with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines; the ability to follow oral and written policies, procedures, and instructions; the ability to operate or quickly learn to operate a personal computer using standard or customized software applications.
