Work ensures purchases and contracts meet all to meet project and Agency needs. As a Purchasing Agent, you will perform the following duties:Procurement Oversight:Manage procurement activities to ensure acquisitions of proper equipment, material, supplies, and servicesBid Coordination:Prepare and review competitive bids to ensure that solicitations meet budget, procedural, and technical requirements; issues purchase orders when acceptableContract Review:Evaluate contract files for compliance with HUD regulations and ensure all required documentation is includedDeliverable Management:Processes received items and services for payment; monitor work performedStakeholder Collaboration:Work with property managers to verify receipt of goods and services;works with vendors regarding purchasing requirements and orderingRecordkeeping:Maintain vendor files and records of all purchases, procurements, and contracts to support accurate oversight, monitoring, payment approval, and closeoutWork Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Three years of purchasing work involving contact with vendors in the procurement of a variety of supplies, materials, equipment, and services;orFour years of stores or warehouse experience that includes responsibility for maintaining inventory control; requisitioning or ordering supplies, and supervising subordinates; and Graduation from high school or equivalent certification;orCompletion of college level instruction in business or the liberal arts may be substituted for a year-for-year basis for purchasing or stores experience to a maximum of two years;orAny equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:You must meet thePA residency requirement .
