Summary

Senior ConsultantGuidehouse supports the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to execute its mission to ensure our nation has the safest, most efficient and modern transportation system in the world. In support of that mission, we are searching for a Senior Consultant to help DOT consolidate and improve its grants system. We are seeking Senior Consultants experienced with process improvement and the federal grants lifecycle to support DOT in improving its grant process. The Senior Consultant we are looking for has strong critical thinking skills, experience in client interaction and facilitation, and demonstrated experience delivering solutions.ResponsibilitiesLead the development of high-quality client deliverables that meet client requirementsIdentify, analyze, and improve business processesWork with diverse stakeholders to fully understand business requirements and interdependenciesLead the facilitation of client meetings, work groups, or interviews Develop detailed project schedules to monitor performanceIdentify and manage project risks and issuesDevelop detailed status reports for individual programsWork with stakeholders to help keep projects on-time and within budgetProvide guidance, coaching, and quality assurance to junior staffWhat You Will Need :Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/universityMust be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"Based on our contractual obligations, candidate must be located within the United States and US Citizen5+ years of federal grants, process improvement, or management consulting experience, preferably within the public sectorExperience with federal grants programsExperience working with the federal governmentStrong analytical, written, and verbal communication skillsAbility to thrive in client service and team-based environments, especially when tackling unstructured problemsStrong attention to detail, well organized and ability to self-prioritize multiple activitiesProficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelThis is a hybrid role requiring some days in the Guidehouse office and/or client siteWhat Would Be Nice To Have :Experience working with Federal, state, or local transportation organizationsPMP, Agile or other project or program management certificationWhat We Offer :Guidehouse offers a comprehensive, total rewards package that includes competitive compensation and a flexible benefits package that reflects our commitment to creating a diverse and supportive workplace.Benefits include:Medical, Rx, Dental & Vision InsurancePersonal and Family Sick Time & Company Paid HolidaysPosition may be eligible for a discretionary variable incentive bonusParental Leave and Adoption Assistance401(k) Retirement PlanBasic Life & Supplemental LifeHealth Savings Account, Dental/Vision & Dependent Care Flexible Spending AccountsShort-Term & Long-Term DisabilityStudent Loan PayDownTuition Reimbursement, Personal Development & Learning OpportunitiesSkills Development & CertificationsEmployee Referral ProgramCorporate Sponsored Events & Community OutreachEmergency Back-Up Childcare ProgramMobility Stipend
