Senior Security Operations SpecialistThe Senior Security Operations Specialist will serve as the primary Targa representative responsible for oversight, coordination, and performance management of third-party contract security services across Mont Belvieu, Galena Park, and Houston Downtown. This role will ensure alignment with corporate security standards while maintaining strong communication with local site leadership.This position will be based in Mont Belvieu and will act as the central liaison between third-party contract security supervisors, corporate security leadership, and site operations teams.Job Duties & Key ResponsibilitiesContract Oversight & Performance Management Provide direct oversight of contract security operations across all three locationsEnsure contract security services meet Targa expectations, standards, and KPIsConduct routine performance reviews and audits of security practicesAddress performance gaps and coordinate corrective actions with contract security leadershipTimekeeping & Cost Accountability Review and approve contractor timesheets for accuracy and complianceMonitor staffing levels versus contract requirementsValidate invoicing against actual services rendered and contract termsSupport cost control efforts and identify efficiency opportunitiesSite Coordination & Leadership Support Serve as the primary liaison between contract security and site leadership teamsMaintain regular communication with Mont Belvieu, Galena Park, and Houston stakeholdersEnsure site-specific risks, concerns, and priorities are addressedSupport incident response coordination and after-action reviewsCorporate Security Alignment Report directly to Director of Corporate Security (Houston Downtown)Ensure site execution aligns with corporate security policies and expectationsCommunicate corporate initiatives, updates, and procedural changes to site and contractor teamsParticipate in corporate security planning, audits, and strategy discussionsCompliance & Risk Management Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsSupport security audits, assessments, and inspectionsTrack and report key security metrics, incidents, and trendsDrive continuous improvement in security processes and contractor performanceCommunication & Reporting Provide routine updates to Corporate Security and site leadershipMaintain clear documentation of performance issues, corrective actions, and improvementsAct as escalation point for security-related concerns across all locationsOther duties as assignedMinimum Essential Qualifications8+ years of experience in security operations, industrial security, or contract managementWorking knowledge of current security-related technologyExperience managing or overseeing third-party contractors preferredStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work across multiple sites and balance competing prioritiesKnowledge of industrial, plant, or energy sector security practices preferredPrior law enforcement or military security operations experience preferredRegular and reliable attendanceEqual Employment Opportunity:Targa Resources provides equal employment opportunities based on merit, experience, and other work-related criteria and without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sex, age, pregnancy, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.
