Job Title
INCUMBENTS ONLY Locations: Altus AFB
Provides C-17 Loadmaster air drop (as qualified), aerial refueling, transport operating procedures, and related C-17 procedures instruction in classroom, aircraft, and simulator environments.
Provides instruction in air drop (as qualified), aerial refueling, transport operating procedures, and related C-17 operations
Conducts Crew Resource Management (CRM) training.
Evaluates student performance and provides effective feedback, instruction, and remediation.
Identifies student learning difficulties and training objectives that have not been accomplished.
Conducts briefings and debriefings to develop and maintain student proficiency.
Maintains proficiency in the operation of C-17 aircrew training devices.
Maintains a high level of C-17 subject matter knowledge and instructional proficiency.
Provides input for courseware corrections, modifications, and updates.
Assists with the development and review of training curriculum and lesson materials as required.
Performs administrative duties associated with training, including record keeping and monitoring student progress.
Supports training program quality assurance, safety, and security requirements.
Provides recommendations for improving training policies, procedures, and instructional methods.
Assists with training projects and development activities as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Candidate must currently be sitting in the position to be considered for this role.
8 years of flying experience, five years of military flying experience.
At least two years or 200 hours experience as an in-flight instructor in the C-17 and associated mission sets.
Must have C-17 Instructor experience within 5 years of hiring date.
Must have completed a formal instructor training course
Previous flight qualification in airdrop is required if the employee will instruct airdrop.
Must hold an Active Secret clearance.
Candidate must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position satisfactorily.
Candidate must meet all applicable position, program, and site requirements.
Fluent English communication skills.
Strong instructional and customer-interaction skills.
Working knowledge of TS instructional principles and personal computing applications.
Successful annual internal standardization evaluations.
