The company's commitment to finding new and better ways to RECLAIM, RECYCLE and REUSE bridges the sustainability goals of scrap tire generators nationwide with those of local scrap rubber consumers.Job Summary The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating daily transportation activities, ensuring efficient route planning, driver communication, and timely customer service. This role serves as the primary point of contact between drivers, customers, and internal teams while supporting DOT compliance, delivery schedules, and overall fleet operations. The Dispatcher must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate and dispatch CDL drivers to meet daily service, pickup, and delivery requirementsPlan, schedule, and optimize daily routes for maximum efficiency and customer satisfactionMonitor driver activity and provide real-time support throughout the workdayCommunicate with drivers, customers, sales representatives, managers, and corporate personnel regarding schedules, route changes, and service updatesContact customers to confirm scheduled pickups and provide status updates as neededReschedule missed stops and coordinate service recovery effortsEnsure compliance with DOT regulations, Hours of Service requirements, and company safety policiesMaintain accurate dispatch records, route information, customer communications, and transportation documentationMonitor fleet utilization and coordinate vehicle maintenance and repair schedules to minimize downtimeInvestigate and resolve customer service issues and delivery concerns in a timely and professional mannerAssist with outbound shipment scheduling and transportation logistics activitiesSupport customer billing and related transportation documentation as neededCollaborate with the Transportation Manager to improve operational efficiency and customer service performancePerform additional administrative and transportation-related duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities Experience with Samsara, Tower, or similar fleet management and dispatch systems preferredStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentExcellent organizational and multitasking abilitiesStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsProfessional phone and email etiquetteAbility to prioritize changing schedules and operational demandsProficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation-related software systemsKnowledge of transportation operations, routing, and DOT regulations preferredEducation and Experience High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 2 years of dispatch, transportation, logistics, or fleet coordination experience preferredExperience within the trucking, transportation, or recycling industry preferredExperience using Samsara, Tower, or comparable fleet management systems preferredKnowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service requirements, and transportation compliance preferredEEO Statement Liberty Tire Recycling is an equal opportunity employer.
