ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking experienced Acoustic Analysts to support the US Navy's Office of Naval Intelligence. In this role you will screen and analyze recorded acoustic data for signals of interest. This role is based On-site at the Office of Naval Intelligence in Suitland, MD.As an Acoustic Intelligence Analyst, you will contribute to the operational advantage of the US Navy's Undersea Warfare community.What you will do:Analyze acoustic data sets to derive qualitative and quantitative technical measurements from recorded acoustic dataPerform Acoustic Intelligence screening of acoustic data collections to develop acoustic tracks and signatures. Candidate will apply environmental data to the analyses to conduct technical measurementsManipulate hardware/software configurations to permit reading of data from multiple sourcesAttend and participate in ONI data reviews and analyst exchanges as required. Document analyses in presentations, briefings, or technical papersQualificationsHS diploma and 16 years of experience, 14 years with AAS; 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.Experience in acoustic data screening of threat targets, development of target tracks using acoustic data, acoustic detection, and acoustic classificationRequires an understanding of platform signature analysis and the methods of conducting technical measurementsBackground as submarine sonar technician, IUSS analyst, or air ASW analyst requiredRequires a TS/SCI clearancePeraton OverviewPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
