Job Details Job Location: Cullman Regional Ambulance Service - Cullman, AL 35055Position Type: PRN - .3Job Shift: AnyJob Category: EMSJob Summary Under the direction of a Dispatcher II, dispatch all 911 and non-emergency calls received in dispatch.Appropriately dispatch and provide directions to all ambulance calls.Maintain situational awareness of the needs of the EMS system.Maintain all paperwork and keep records as required by a dispatcher.Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.Education High school graduate (or equivalent) and must hold or be able to obtain APCO and Priority Dispatch EMD and EFD certifications within 6 months of hire. Must maintain CPR certification. Train on CAD, Communication, and 911 phone systems until proficient.Experience Dispatch experience with Spillman CAD systems is preferred but not required.Additional Skills/Abilities General typing and computer skills, EMS CAD system, Microsoft Office IE: (Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook). Professional communication skills and the ability to communicate with 911 callers, patients, coworkers, doctors, and nurses. Excellent customer service skills required.
