Summary
Dispatcher Dispatchers are responsible for coordinating and scheduling the delivery of freight. They must ensure that all shipments are delivered on time and in accordance with customer requirements. Dispatchers communicate with truck drivers and customers to ensure that shipments are picked up and delivered on schedule.Duties and Responsibilities:Manage truck drivers' schedules and routesSchedule freight to be picked up and deliveredMaintain records of dispatched calls, driver routes, route changes, as well as delivery and pickup times.Keep track of transportation regulations and laws to ensure that truck drivers comply.Complete paperwork related to shipments, such as invoicesCommunicate with customers about freight details, delivery or pickup times, and special handling requests.Plan pre-determined routes and accommodating route changes as needed.Communicate with drivers to ensure they have the necessary information and resources to complete their routesHours: 11pm to 7:30amPosition Requirements:Excellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of transportation regulations and lawsProficient in computer software such as Microsoft Office and transportation management systemsStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAttention to detailAbility to handle stressful situations and make quick decisionsKnowledge of geography and routesPosition - DispatcherDivision - East Coast CES of TexasReq Number - TRA-26-00012Location - Houston
