This position will be for full-time employment at the client site. The selected individual will serve as the Executive Director of the Joint Regional Intelligence Center (JRIC) in Norwalk, CA, to manage all aspects of the JRIC and serve as the primary point of contact for federal, tribal, state, local, and private sector entity executives.HOW AN INTELLIGENCE SR MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACTThe essential duties and tasks of the Executive Director assigned to the JRIC include but are not limited to:Oversee and evaluate all aspects of JRIC operations, including resource allocation, organizational structure, product quality, and the collection and use of all threat information; based on said review and evaluation, make appropriate notifications and suggestions to partner agenciesImplement the Baseline Capabilities for State and Major Urban Area Fusion Centers; including the Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) Fundamentals and Processes and National SAR Initiative (NSI)Coordinate both long- and short-term strategies for threat liaison officer training, critical infrastructure protection, intelligence and analysis, and private sector goalsManage contractors and employees of public safety agencies who have been assigned to the JRICDevelop and maintain extensive federal, tribal, state, and local contacts to determine needs of client agenciesAct as a liaison between the Regional Information Sharing System's (RISS) Western States Information Network (WSIN), the State Threat Assessment System (STAS), Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI), Major County Sheriff's Association Intel Commanders Group (ICG), and Public and Private Sector Partner OrganizationsWork closely with management at the other California Fusion Centers and State Threat Assessment Center (STAC)Represent the JRIC at various intelligence-related meetings and briefings; including conducting Executive Level briefings to the UASI Urban Area Working Group, personnel from the public safety community, the US Intelligence Community, as well as other federal, tribal, state, local and private sector entitiesDevelop evaluation criteria, annual operational performance goals, and prepare reports and briefings for quarterly Governance Board MeetingsMaintain open communication and general administrative collaboration with the Governance Board regarding execution of programs and policies intended to achieve the JRIC missionWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree in a relevant field is desirableA minimum of 15 years of experience in law enforcement/intelligence community, including 10 years of supervisory and/or management experienceProven leadership and experience working and managing a multi-agency law enforcement, intelligence, or fusion center environment involving federal, state, and local authorities (i.e. task force or joint operations center)High level of strategic thinking and planning with the ability to envision and convey the organization's strategic futureProven ability to successfully engage and collaborate with federal, state, local, and tribal public safety agency executivesKnowledge of grant management, developing funding strategies, and assessing positive outcomesExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively gain consensus among people with differing viewpointsHigh degree of intrapersonal initiative requiring sound judgment with minimal supervision and guidanceExceptional writing and public speaking skills to include briefings of public safety executives and public officials at all levels of governmentWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel and PowerPointAn active Secret security clearance; Top Secret eligibleGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:401K with company matchComprehensive health and wellness packagesInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your careerProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certificationsCutting-edge technology you can learn fromRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidaysThe likely salary range for this position is $142,792 - $172,500.
