You will ensure proper protection, use, and dissemination of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) documents/material by enforcing SCI, information, personnel, physical, communications, industrial, and Informational Assurance security rules.

You will be responsible for security advocacy, accreditations, annual reporting, designation letters, and assigning preliminary investigation officers in the event of an incident.

You will maintain applicable SCI directives, regulations, manuals, and guidelines to adequately discharge SIO duties and responsibilities.

You will communicate requirements for external support to Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) operations such as security response force, emergency planning, communication networks, and other infrastructure matters.

You will provide oversight for other SCIFs under the Command's cognizance including contractor SCIFs.
