Summary
About The Position
Only permanent or former District Court employees who have completed probation may request to be placed on the voluntary transfer/rehire list. Transfer and rehire applications will only be accepted online. Please click here for a copy of the job description in which you are seeking. Minimum Requirements
Transfer List
Who is Eligible? Only permanent District Court employees who have completed probation may request to be placed on the voluntary transfer list.
Clark County Employees: Current Clark County employees interested in District Court positions must apply through an available District Court job posting.
To be placed on the voluntary transfer list:
- Submit a complete online application indicating each job classification you are interested in transferring to.
- You may be required to take an examination if requested by District Court Human Resources or the hiring department.
- The position must be in the same pay schedule as your current class title.
- You must meet the minimum qualifications of the class title you are requesting to be transferred to. Job descriptions outlining the minimum qualifications for each class title may be viewed at the job descriptions page.
Note: You must meet the requirements outlined above to be placed on the transfer list.
You will remain on the transfer list for one (1) year from the date of your application.

Voluntary demotions are not handled through the transfer process. Information on voluntary demotions is outlined in the EJDC Employee Handbook.
Rehire List
Who is Eligible? Only individuals who held a full-time, permanent, non-probationary District Court position prior to leaving may request to be placed on the rehire list.
To be placed on the rehire list:
- Submit a complete online application indicating each title classification you previously held as a full-time, permanent, non-probationary District Court employee.
- You are eligible to be placed on the rehire list for one (1) year from your date of separation from the District Court employment.
- For Supplemental Question 2, mark the department you were employed in prior to leaving the District Court.
- For Supplemental Question 3, mark "Yes" if you completed your probationary period prior to leaving District Court employment.
- For Supplemental Question 4, indicate your District Court separation date if you are requesting to be placed on the rehire list for any classification in which you held permanent status.
