Summary

Legal Specialist

We are looking for a legal specialist with a Juris Doctor to support research, writing, and case-related documentation on a part-time contract basis in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This opportunity is well suited for a JD graduate or attorney candidate who can produce clear written work, manage competing priorities, and contribute to matters requiring careful analysis. Candidates with exposure to immigration-related work are especially valued, along with the ability to work effectively with legal tools, case information, and client-facing communication. This is a part-time need expected at 8 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research using resources such as LexisNexis and Accurint to gather relevant statutes, case law, and background information.

• Prepare, revise, and organize legal documents, including affidavits, correspondence, and discovery materials, with strong attention to accuracy and formatting.

• Support attorneys or legal teams by summarizing findings and turning complex information into clear written analysis.

• Maintain calendars, deadlines, and matter-related updates to help ensure timely progress across active assignments.

• Enter, track, and manage case information within legal management systems and related databases, including Microsoft Access when needed.

• Review records and supporting documents to identify key facts, inconsistencies, and items requiring follow-up.

• Assist with expense-related or administrative coordination through platforms such as Concur, as required by the engagement.
