We are committed to cultivating a workplace—and a movement—where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to lead.What You'll DoAs Central Virginia Field Organizer, you will:Build deep, authentic relationships with community members, grasstops advocates, coalition partners, and local leadersConnect Virginia LCV supporters directly with elected officials through organizing, events, and advocacy opportunitiesPlan and execute impactful in-person and virtual events—including town halls, rallies, roundtables, and community gatheringsPartner closely with environmental justice leaders, grassroots groups, and progressive allies to align strategy and amplify impactHelp grow and activate our supporter base alongside Climate Action Virginia, our grassroots mobilization programServe as a trusted, relationship centered presence for Virginia LCV in Central VirginiaJump in where needed. We're looking for someone who brings heart, curiosity, and commitment to the work.You might be a great fit if you:Feel deeply connected to issues like environmental justice, climate action, democracy, or community organizingHave experience in organizing, advocacy, campaigns, movement work, or community engagement (paid, unpaid, or lived experience all count)Enjoy building relationships across differences and bringing people together around shared goalsCommunicate clearly and authentically in writing and in conversationCare about equity, inclusion, and justice, and strive to live those values in your workCan juggle multiple priorities and adapt in a fast moving, mission-driven environmentAre open to learning new tools, systems, and approaches (CRM or digital organizing experience is a plus, not a requirement)Experience helping plan or organize events—such as meetings, forums, rallies, press conferences, actions, or community gatherings—is a plusIf you're excited about the mission and believe you could grow into this role, we strongly encourage you to apply.
