Summary
Required for all options:Option I
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution;
- Two (2) years of full-time wage earning experience within the past ten (10) years in one or more approved occupations for which instruction is offered; and
- Texas Trade & Industrial Education Teacher Certificate.
Option II
- Associate's Degree from an accredited institution;
- Eligible for certification in Career & Technology through an approved Alternative Certification Program; and
- Two (2) years of full-time wage earning experience within the past ten (10) years in one or more approved occupations for which instruction is offered.
Option III
- High School Diploma;
- Five (5) years of Full Time wage earning experience within the past ten (10) years in one or more approved occupations for which instruction is offered;
- Eligible for certification in Career & Technology through an approved Alternative Certification Program; and
- Eligible for Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from TEA.
The Law Enforcement Instructor is responsible for contributing to the educational program as a whole and to the growth of each student.
