Summary

Required for all options:

Option I
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution;
  • Two (2) years of full-time wage earning experience within the past ten (10) years in one or more approved occupations for which instruction is offered; and
  • Texas Trade & Industrial Education Teacher Certificate.
OR

Option II
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited institution;
  • Eligible for certification in Career & Technology through an approved Alternative Certification Program; and
  • Two (2) years of full-time wage earning experience within the past ten (10) years in one or more approved occupations for which instruction is offered.
OR

Option III
  • High School Diploma;
  • Five (5) years of Full Time wage earning experience within the past ten (10) years in one or more approved occupations for which instruction is offered;
  • Eligible for certification in Career & Technology through an approved Alternative Certification Program; and
  • Eligible for Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from TEA.


The Law Enforcement Instructor is responsible for contributing to the educational program as a whole and to the growth of each student.
