Summary
Investigative Intern, Internal Affairs and Discipline (IAD)
Under general supervision, an Investigative Intern in IAD will be responsible for: assisting investigative staff in managing caseloads involving complaints of employee misconduct, unlicensed contractors and conducting employee background investigations; receiving, drafting, and reporting complaints taken from the general public, 311, Departmental employees as well as referrals from various government agencies; assisting in the preparation of and the performance of fact finding and corrective interviews of departmental employees; writing lengthy narrative reports; intake and processing of record requests from the public; coordinating with the five Borough Offices to schedule the release of records; researching property information in the Buildings Information System; data entry of all requests; assisting Investigative staff with field work, including retrieval of documents from various locations; drafting memorandums; answering telephones and responding to in-person inquiries; typing, filing and related clerical duties; certain analytical functions; special projects and tasks as assigned by the Executive Director of IAD.
REMOTE WORK When working a 35 hour/week schedule, this position may be eligible for remote work up to 2 days per week, pursuant to the Remote Work Pilot Program. WORK HOURS Up to 17 hours/week when school is in session Up to 35 hours/week during school break PAY RATES Entering Freshmen through completion of Sophomore year: $17.50 Entering Junior through completion of Senior year: $17.75 Graduate level: $18.00 COLLEGE AIDE (ALL CITY DEPTS) - 10209
