Summary
Responsibilities Work throughout the project life‑cycle to define, design, develop, and implement custom software and AI solutions on the Appian platform for commercial clients.Define business processes, gather functional and technical requirements, and engage with clients post‑sales.Launch new relational data models in production and develop APIs (REST, SOAP, JDBC) to integrate with multiple systems.Brainstorm AI use cases and implement Appian's AI tools, applying retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and generative models.Collaborate with client technical teams and business users to drive adoption and empower clients to build process applications.Qualifications 3+ years of experience with hands‑on software development or technical consulting.B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.US citizenship (public‑sector roles require U.S. citizenship).Experience leading small teams and mentoring others through post‑sale implementations.Strong communication skills, passion for technology, and continuous learning.History of success on cross‑functional teams and agile experience (pair programming, stand‑ups, planning sessions, sprints).Basic understanding of object‑oriented programming, relational database design, data modeling, and SQL.Knowledge of software testing practices (TDD, automated test suites, CI) and integrations (REST, SOAP, JDBC).
