The Lead Functional Consultant, Public Sector plays a critical role in supporting and optimizing Icertis Contract Intelligence (ICI) solutions for government contractors and U.S. government customers. This role leads functional diagnostics, drives functional configurations, and acts as a trusted advisor to stakeholders operating in governments and highly regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a functional and domain subject matter expert across federal acquisition, contracting, compliance, and ICI platform capabilities.
- Translate customer requirements into scalable, compliant ICI configurations aligned with best practices.
- Facilitate, design sessions and solution walkthroughs with customer stakeholders.
- Lead investigation, triage, and root-cause analysis of complex functional issues; recommend secure, compliant fixes and workarounds.
- Distinguish between configuration, data, process, and product behavior to ensure accurate problem classification.
- Drive resolution of incidents by orchestrating functional/technical teams across Support, Engineering, Security, and Cloud Ops teams.
- Partner closely with technical, security, and cloud teams to ensure solutions meet federal security and compliance standards.
- Guide customers through change management, user adoption, and training in policy-driven environments.
- Ensure delivery within approved scope, contract structure, and federally required documentation standards.
- Identify risks related to process, compliance, or delivery and proactively drive mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to internal capability building, playbooks, and reusable assets for public sector delivery.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS functional consulting, Customer Support, Customer Success, or professional services delivery.
- Experience supporting or implementing enterprise application platforms, such as CLM, ERP, or Supply Chain, preferably in public sector or regulated environments.
- Understanding of federal acquisition and procurement processes (FAR/DFARS, IDIQs, BPAs, RFPs).
- Demonstrated ability to design compliant workflows aligned with audit, data retention, and risk management requirements.
- Hands-on experience with application configuration, functional design, and solution validation.
- Ability to engage effectively with contracting officers, program managers, technical teams, and executive stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting U.S. federal agencies or federal system integrators.
- Familiarity with GovCloud, secure integrations, and identity frameworks (CAC/PIV, PKI).
- Experience supporting implementations subject to audit, FOIA, or records management requirements.
- Prior experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platforms.
