Explosive Ordnance Disposal Instructor
Position Number: EOD INS 009
Location: San Diego, CA
Worksite: Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training and Evaluation Unit ONE
Status: Full Time
Clearance: Secret
Job Summary: The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Instructor will augment active duty instructors in various EODTEU ONE Division facilitating advanced level training for EOD platoons during Unit Level Training to support O-FRP Basic phase. This training consists of classroom and field training including full mission profiles (FMP) in the following training areas: Greater San Diego, and Camp Pendleton.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site support to EODTEU ONE instructors during classroom evolutions, basic training, and FMP training evolutions.
- Support EOD instructors in the curriculum maintenance.
- Support the revision and continuous improvement of learning materials and assessment tools.
- When directed, complete additional administrative tasks.
- Travel approximately five weeks per quarter as required by the government.
- Must be available for occasional night and weekend training.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Military Service Instructor Training Course (e.g., Navy, Air Force, Marines, Army, and U.S. Coast Guard), or civilian equivalent.
- Graduate of Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal.
- Honorable Discharge from Active Duty Military service.
- Minimum of six years of experience as an EOD Technician.
- EOD experience within the last five years.
- Must meet Navy High-Risk Training requirements as outlined in OPNAVINST 1500.75 series.
- Possess valid CPR certification.
- Possess current SECRET security clearance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
