Job Description:
ACT1 Federal is seeking a highly experienced Weaponeering Applications Subject Matter Expert to provide technical, analytical, instructional, and programmatic support to the Joint Targeting School Weaponeering Applications Program.
This is a specialized position requiring expertise with Joint Munitions Effectiveness Manuals (JMEM), JMEM Weaponeering System (JWS), weapons-effects analysis, weaponeering methodologies, technical validation, and Joint Targeting applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom and Mobile Training Team instruction on weaponeering methodologies.
- Instruct unguided, guided, bridge, bunker, building, linear, and other applicable weaponeering methods.
- Apply JMEM/JWS and other approved weaponeering software and methodologies.
- Support development, maintenance, integration, and validation of weaponeering applications.
- Update applications based on current JMEM data, methodologies, munitions, targets, and weapons-effects information.
- Conduct verification and validation of weaponeering applications against authoritative JMEM data.
- Develop documentation supporting Government accreditation of applications.
- Support interoperability with mission-planning, targeting, and command-and-control systems.
- Develop and maintain courseware, user guides, instructional materials, and technical documentation.
- Support annual curriculum reviews and JMEM/DoD Weaponeering Guide-driven updates.
- Serve as SME at conferences, technical working groups, and meetings.
Required Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge of DoD Weaponeering Applications methodology, procedures, and regulations.
- Strong working knowledge of JMEM and JWS.
- Demonstrated experience performing operational or technical weaponeering.
- In-depth understanding of the Joint Targeting Cycle.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Joint force employment and targeting processes.
- Experience with weapons-effects analysis, targeting applications, or mission-planning systems.
- Ability to develop technical documentation, reports, briefings, and recommendations.
- Familiarity with ISD/adult-training methodologies.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility/access.
Highly Desired:
- Prior JTS Weaponeering Applications Course instructor or graduate.
- Experience managing a DoD Weaponeering Applications program.
- JMEM/JWS tool-development or technical-support experience.
- Verification and Validation experience.
- Accreditation experience for weaponeering tools/models.
- Weapons-school, targeting-cell, Joint Staff, CCMD, or weapons-effects background.
