MDB Group is seeking to fill a Senior Military Acquisition Analyst-Rotary Wing position for our customer at the Pentagon, DC. MDB Group provides Technical, Operational, Force Development, Financial, and Acquisition Consulting Services to the Department of War.

Full Job Description:

  • Job Title: Senior Military Acquisition Analyst-Rotary Wing
  • Job Location: On-site, Pentagon

Position Requirements:

  • The FDV SSO shall support Army Aviation programs, must have operational experience in Army aviation units from company to brigade level, and must be familiar with the types of equipment used in aviation units; Rotary Wing (Helicopter) Pilot required.
  • FDV SSO should possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to manage Army Acquisition Category (ACAT) II and III Programs.
  • Requires an interdisciplinary skill set of PPBE, DOD acquisition processes and procedures (DoDI 5000.2), as well as expertise with materiel and/or force structure requirements development and validation (JCIDS).
  • The mix of these skills will vary at echelons of command. Force Development experience is obtained by applying force development skills across the domains of DOTMLPF-P in a fiscally constrained environment.
  • Examples of force development experience range from programming materiel and force structure requirements at the highest Army echelons, such as HQDA, down to integrating new equipment into units at battalion levels.
  • Must have a minimum of four (4) years of experience and expertise in Force Development (or related) duties.
  • Experience may be obtained at varying levels of Army or Joint organizations, but candidates should have experience at the most senior levels of the Army, such as HQDA, MACOMs, or Army Service Component Commands.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide analysis and recommendations in support of validation, prioritization, and approval of future aviation requirements, including validation of Army JCIDS documents in support of the AROC or JROC process.
  • Manage the Army Aviation programming and budgeting process.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4 years of DoD Army Force Development experience.
  • 3 years must be direct HQDA or equivalent level experience.
  • Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Experience:

  • Army Force Management School Courses such as How the Army Runs (HTAR) or any such courses.
