POLICE OFFICER

Summary

Job Title

The duties include:

Possessing apprehension/detention authority on a military installation and carrying a firearm in the performance of duties.

Performing anti-terrorism/force protection duties to deter, detect, and/or deny unauthorized access.

Executing awide variety of complex law enforcement duties generated by the surrounding area of the installation.

Responding to and/or investigating complaints of minor to complex incidents, patrolling installations by vehicle, bike, or foot.

Performing law enforcement duties at fixed posts such as entry and exit gates throughout the installation.

Writing technical descriptive documents/reports and performing other law enforcement duties assigned.

Conducting daily inspections of posts and taking immediate action to correct discrepancies noted.

Evaluating situations to respond using the minimum degree of force necessary to neutralize an incident.

Inspecting private and commercial vehicles in compliance with established instructions and regulations.

Investigating circumstances or individuals that appear unusual or suspicious to prevent crime.
