The City of Chino is hiring for the position of Police Academy Trainee. This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $6,261.75 - $7,591.58 monthly. The recruitment is ongoing until a sufficient number of qualified applications are received.

The Chino Police Department is looking for highly motivated, service-oriented individuals committed to serving the community with professionalism, integrity, and respect. As a Police Academy Trainee, you will begin your career with a department dedicated to excellence, teamwork, and providing exceptional public safety services.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a California POST-certified Police Basic Training Academy or have graduated from one within one year of the application date. To be considered, applicants must attach proof of current academy enrollment or a copy of their valid California POST-certified Police Basic Academy certificate.

Qualified applicants who meet the minimum qualifications may be invited to continue in the selection process, including an oral interview, comprehensive police background investigation, and an administrative review.

Police Academy Trainees who successfully complete a California POST-certified Police Basic Training Academy and satisfy all departmental requirements will be promoted to the classification of Police Officer and become members of the Chino Police Officers Association (CPOA). Upon promotion, they will serve a probationary period and be granted full peace officer authority.

The Police Officer salary range is $8,333.75 - $10,128.00 monthly plus eligible pay incentives.
