Police Cadet I

This position is being advertised to fill upcoming Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) classes scheduled to begin in January 2027 and July 2027. Selected candidates will be required to attend the BLET program at Alamance Community College (ACC) and comply with the college's established schedule, which may include afternoon and evening classes, as well as occasional weekends.

Hiring Timeline:

January 2027 BLET Class: Hiring is expected to take place in November–December 2026, with the BLET program beginning in January 2027.

July 2027 BLET Class: Hiring is expected to take place in May–June 2027, with the BLET program beginning in July 2027.

Examples of Duties:

• Attending class on a regular basis
• Performing assigned tasks as instructed
• Listening to and taking notes during classroom instruction
• Participating in role playing scenarios during class
• Completing assignments and taking graded tests with passing scores
