Part-time Bailiff (TCOLE certified only)
The Webster Police Department of Webster, Texas is looking to hire a part-time Bailiff. Our part-time Bailiff position pays $50 per hour and will be assigned to the City of Webster Municipal Court on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The position will work approximately 368 hours per year for a total of $18,400 annually. All job-related equipment except the handgun is provided. This position is responsible for providing security for the Municipal Court, both during daily operations and during court proceedings. Work is performed under minimal supervision in accordance with standardized training methods as set forth through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. Work duties are accomplished through assignments by supervisors and via self-initiated tasks. This position requires proficiency with TCOLE competencies, the ability to make rational, informed decisions, and professional work ethics. Rational decision-making includes, but is not limited to, the ability to listen closely, to discern appropriate facts, to remember and record facts in an effective manner, and to act on facts in accordance with established laws, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications for a Police Officer:
- United States citizen
- Current and active TCOLE certification
- Ability to successfully pass a background investigation, psychological screening, functional capacity test, and drug screen
- Valid driver's license issued by the State of Texas
