Summary
Soni is working with a global law firm to find a Conflicts Clearance Analyst to join the Office of General Counsel. The position will support new matter intake and lateral attorney hiring. This role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and resolving conflicts of interest, including assisting with waivers, engagement letter provisions, and ethical screens. The analyst works closely with attorneys, senior conflicts leadership, and legal staff in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assess intake requests for new and existing matters to ensure clarity and completeness
- Analyze conflicts reports and conduct targeted research using internal systems and external databases
- Prepare clear, concise conflicts summaries for attorneys, highlighting issues and proposed resolutions
- Draft and review conflict waivers and engagement letter provisions; follow through to completion
- Establish and monitor information/ethical screens as required
- Escalate unresolved or complex conflicts issues to senior conflicts leadership and the Office of General Counsel
- Prior experience with conflicts analysis, research, and resolution in a law firm setting
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and judgment skills related to complex conflicts matters
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain issues succinctly
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and issue-tracking abilities
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
Compensation: $95,000-115,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
