The Adult Services Librarian is responsible for reference and readers' advisory, collection development, programming, and outreach to patrons and the community.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Participate in the collection development process by maintaining budget, selecting, and weeding materials in assigned area.Provide reference and readers' advisory assistance and process interlibrary loan requestsProvide instruction on the Library's digital offerings and e-sources to patrons and staffPlan and implement adult programs of interest to the communityCreate attractive and interesting displays and bibliographiesStay current regarding library technology and trendsDevelop and take part in outreach activitiesAll other duties as assignedRequirements:MLS/MLIS from an ALA accredited institutionAt least one (1) year of experience in a public library settingHealth, dental, and vision insuranceIllinois Municipal Retirement Fund pension planPaid holidaysVacation and sick time12 weeks paid parental leaveEmployer paid basic life/AD&D insurance for employeeBartlett Public Library District, DuPage CountyHours 37.5 hours per week; days, nights, and every third weekend#J-18808-Ljbffr
