Coordinate direct services for incarcerated people with acute and complex behavioral health needsReview individual needs and barriersDevelop collaborative individualized release plansCoordinate access to mental health, substance use, basic needs, housing, health care, peer support, education, employment, and trauma-focused servicesWork with corrections officers, jail medical and mental health staff, and community partner organizationsPerform complex professional/technical program support, potentially including field workAnalyze administrative, fiscal, and program operationsPrepare technical reports, documents, notices, and public information materialsExtract and analyze data from project tracking and information systemsParticipate in planning, coordination, and implementation of specialized programsParticipate in developing budgets, goals, objectives, and program activitiesProvide information on applicable local, state, and federal codes, regulations, requirements, standards, and programsConduct specialized research using independent judgment and limited supervisionParticipate in community outreach as a County community partner/agentPerform other related duties as requiredRequirementsMaster's degree in social work, counseling, mental health, behavioral sciences, or a related field plus at least 1 year of experience working with persons with legal system involvement; ORBachelor's degree in social work, counseling, mental health, behavioral sciences, or a related field plus at least 2 years of experience working with persons with legal system involvement; OR5 years of equivalent work experienceProof of credentials requiredDegree conferred by an institution of higher education recognized by accrediting agencies recognized by the U.S. Secretary of EducationOfficial transcripts required at time of hireAbility to work in a secured and/or partially secured jail environmentAbility to operate within an established chain of command in a paramilitary organizationComprehensive background investigation requiredPolygraph examination and drug test required after successful background investigationSupplemental questions and completed online application requiredAbility to balance a caseload and triage complex client needsAbility to navigate community resources and engage diverse community partnersCore CompetenciesDemonstrates expertise in coordinating services for individuals with complex behavioral health needs, including developing individualized release plans and navigating community resources.
