Responsibilities

• S. borders between ports of entry by vehicle, on foot, and using surveillance tools
• Detect, deter, and apprehend individuals and groups attempting illegal entry
• Identify and interdict smuggling of narcotics, weapons, and other contraband
• Conduct interviews, inspections, and field processing of subjects encountered
• Operate and monitor surveillance systems, sensors, and communications equipment
• Assist in search and rescue operations for distressed individuals in remote terrain
• Prepare accurate reports, documentation, and evidence for legal proceedings
• Collaborate with other federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement partners
• Maintain weapons proficiency, physical fitness, and tactical readiness
• Uphold CBP standards of integrity, professionalism, and respect in all interactions
