State Retirement.RESPONSIBILITIESEssential FunctionsSystematically inspect, and repair USSRC simulators to maintain safe, efficient, and effective operation. Simulation equipment includes but is not limited to:ElectronicsElectro-mechanicalComputer PeripheralsComputer Hardware & SoftwareDevelop, modify, and update technological interactives and mechanical systems while ensuring effective and efficient operation, safety, and that modifications meet the needs of the USSRC. Tools and software includes but is not limited to:FDM 3D PrintingCNC Laser Cutting/EngravingCNC Router TableEnsure the accurate and timely completion of exhibit technical service requests.Meet or exceed the expectations of the Museum Technician Manager for the installation, maintenance, and repair of simulators and exhibits.Meet or exceed the expectations of the Museum Technician Manager for the accurate and timely completion of related tasks and assignments.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesLevel of Supervision: NoneTravel Required: SomeQUALIFICATIONSRequired EducationHigh school or GED and completion of 2-year technical degree (work experience will also be considered and applied to education requirements).Preferred ExperienceWork Experience: 12 – 24 months experience as a Tech 1 in designing, maintaining, and repairing electronic and Electro-mechanical devices or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
