Proactively provides customer service2. Interviews, researches, and answers questions from patrons3. Assists Materials Selectors in developing and maintaining a high quality collection based on community needs, usage levels, and relevance of materials.4. Evaluates materials, utilizes statistical data and reports for collection maintenance and makes withdrawals according to library guidelines5. Initiates the development and implementation of adult, teen, and children's programs to increase awareness of library resources and encourage library use6. Recommends materials based on patrons' interest7. Provides programs, presentations and training to patrons and other organizations, in the Library and in the community8. Serves as librarian-in-charge, as assigned9. Assists patrons with basic troubleshooting of common software products, operating systems, browsers and other technologies associated with library services (including handheld devices, e-readers, laptops, tablets, etc.)10. Performs duties of Library Associate, Storytime Associate and Circulation Assistant, as needed## Required experience### Education, Training and/or Experience1. Master's degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited school2. A minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience### Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics1. Proficient in the use of the Integrated Library System (ILS)2. Ability to maintain confidentiality and use appropriate judgment in handling information and records3. Ability to work accurately with attention to detail4. Ability to arrange items in alphanumeric and/or subject order5. Superior working knowledge of traditional and electronic resources including web sites and databases; excellent online searching skills6. Ability to deliver programs and speak before groups7. Ability to retain and follow circulation policies and procedures8. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint### Certifications, Licenses, RegistrationsValid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record### Physical Demands1. Ability to sit and use computer for extended periods and operate standard office equipment, daily2. Ability to lift and move up to fifty (50) pounds, daily3. Ability to push book trucks with up to 150 pounds of materials on them, daily4. Ability to stand for extended periods, daily5. Ability to perform repeated reaching, bending, climbing and squatting, daily6. Travel by automobile is required occasionally## Schedule* Sunday (every 3rd): 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm* Monday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm* Tuesday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm* Wednesday: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm* Thursday: 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm* Either a Friday or Saturday each week (based on a rotating schedule): 9:00 am - 6:00 pm#J-18808-Ljbffr
