P/T Librarian or Library Associate - Youth Services The Trenton Free Public Library is expanding our staff and we are seeking a part-time Youth Services Librarian or Library Associate. The main focus of this position is to provide reference assistance to children and families in the Children's and Young Adult department. This is a part-time position up to 19 hours per week.General Job Duties & Responsibilities, for illustrative purposes, not exclusive:Provide reference assistance to children and families.Develop and implement programming as assigned.Help organize and maintain Children's Room, Teen Room, and Children's Office.Create flyers and social media posts as assigned by the Supervisor of Youth Services.Responsible for weeding, selection, and overall curation of Youth Services CollectionsTFPL is a Civil Service and Union workplace. The schedule includes Wednesday evening, every Saturday with additional hours as available. The current starting salary for the Librarian 1 hourly position is $33.88; and position includes pro-rated benefits of holiday, vacation, personal and sick time. Enrollment in DCRP.Qualifications: An MLS/MLIS from an ALA accredited institution and a New Jersey Librarian's Certification are required for placement as Librarian.
