Duties

Supports U.S. delegations by preparing detailed briefing materials, providing expert guidance, compiling foreign government positions, and facilitating negotiations led by senior U.S. officials.

Serves as the expert-level lead and chief action officer for an assigned office portfolio.

Provides expert negotiation support and strategic advice to senior officials, enabling effective advocacy and representation of U.S. interests during multilateral negotiations and meetings within the assigned portfolio.

Monitors, compiles, and analyzes foreign government positions and policy developments relevant to U.S. priorities within the assigned portfolio, drawing on political, economic, social, and military reporting from a wide variety of sources.
