Providing day-to-day supervision and instruction for coders, the full-time Certified Inpatient Coding Team Lead will oversee hospital inpatient accounts to ensure appropriate reimbursement and compliance with federal and state regulations while working remotely.Key responsibilitiesSupervise and manage the daily activities of coders, including monitoring productivity and schedulingAssign and oversee coding work to facilitate timely billing processes and maintain appropriate coverageAct as a clinical coding subject matter expert, resolving inquiries and ensuring compliance with coding standardsRequired qualificationsAssociate's degree or a total of 7 years of relevant experience; Bachelor's degree preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience coding inpatient hospital medical recordsCertification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) is required
