Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs of the organization and evolving priorities.QualificationsMinimum Experience/Education - High School diploma and sufficient experience to demonstrate ability to work under pressure. Additional Education and Experience will be necessary for progressive steps (Journey and Advanced). Requires certification as a Division of Criminal Information computer operator or the ability to achieve certification within 45 days of employment. May require Basic Telecommunicator Certification in accordance with the provisions of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission or the ability to achieve certification within one year of employment. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.Preferred Qualifications - Experience in answering 911 emergency and public safety calls. Some college is preferred. Good computer and typing skills. Background in public safety is helpful.Required License or Certification - Certification as a Division of Criminal Information computer operator or the ability to achieve certification within 120 days of employment.
