Already have years of service with another agency? We start higher than the $60,000, depending on years of service.

Specialized Units: Emergency Response Team, K-9 Unit, Criminal Investigations Division, Street Crime Unit, Traffic Unit, UAV/Drone Unit, School Resource Officer, Community Relations, Traffic Homicide Investigator, Honor Guard and Crisis Negotiations Team

Opportunities for Extra Duty Details, after completion of field training program.

County wide take-home car policy, after completion of field training program.

• 19-23 years 176 hours
• 8-12 years 120 hours (3 weeks)
• 24 years and over 200 hours (5 weeks)

Paid Sick leave:

Accrue 8 hours a month, no max

Bereavement Leave

Paid up to 3 days for in-state and 5 days for out-of-state

Health insurance

City pays 100% of employees health insurance 50% of dependents

City pays 50% of dental and vision

City pays $50,000 life insurance policy

Other supplemental plans offered

Longevity pay:

• $600 for 5-10 years
• $800 for 10-15 years
• $1,000 for 15-20 years
• $1,200 for 20 years and up

Paid each year, once you complete 5 years of employment

Retirement- Vested after completion of 10 years of service. Police/Military buys back is available.

City has its own pension plan. Guaranteed monthly check when retire from the City. City of Rockledge is not a part of FRS (Florida Retirement System).
