The individual should be detail-oriented and able to successfully work in fast-paced environments. Responsibilities may include:Provide acquisition or contracting policy research, analysis, and support Assist with the coordination, writing, and editing of internal and external correspondence, reports, and briefings, including those needed for legislative proposals and analysisSupport responses to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) reporting requirements to CongressAssist the Government in preparing and maintaining formal staffed packagesPrepare for meetings with internal or external partnersQualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) or higherAt least 4 years of relevant acquisition experience, preferably with Department of WarProficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPointThis position requires an active security clearance, at the SECRET level, for which you must be a US citizen.DESIRED SKILLS:Working knowledge of the Department of War Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS) or similar systemExperience with Defense acquisition and contractingExperience in responding to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requestsFamiliarity with Microsoft SharePoint and PlannerStrong communication skills, both oral and writtenAbility to effectively problem solveExcellent organizational skills and ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external staff membersSelf-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting prioritiesSalary Range: $95,000.00 To $115,000.00 AnnuallyThe salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation.
