The Manager of Public Safety plans, manages, and directs daily security operations. This ensures a safe environment for patients, visitors, medical staff, and employees. They conduct security assessments, inspections, drills, and in-services while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Essential Functions of the Role:

• Supervises and head subordinates in enforcing laws, ordinances, policies and procedures that promote public safety.
• Develops, implements, and monitors various programs to promote the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff at managed facility(s).
• Reviews and participates in the development of policies and Standard Operating Guidelines.
• Assesses personnel and asset needs necessary for Security operations.
• Conducts operational inquiries into citizen complaints about Security Officers. Handles sensitive investigations and information professionally. Safeguards confidential information from investigations or Law Enforcement authorities.
• Reviews Use of pressure incidents and personnel training mandates to ensure legal compliance.
• Interacts with community to address security and crime concerns, safety training and crime prevention.
• Ensure customer service requests are responded to promptly.
• Controls and regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic, including but not limited to, parking for visitors, employees, patients, and medical staff.
• Develops, facilitates, and manages department budget.

• Basic business knowledge includes annual planning, goal setting, budget adherence, employee compensation, compliance, and risk management.
• General computer skills, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, and email.

• EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
• EXPERIENCE - 4 Years of Experience
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -

Drivers License (TXDL): If moving from out of state must obtain valid TX DL within 90 days of hire.
