Summary
DescriptionThe Public Programs Department is seeking an intern to join a professional, collaborative, and fast-paced work environment. The intern will assist with all aspects of public programming for adult audiences, including program research, planning, communications, event logistics, and administrative support. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in museum programming and learn about the development and execution of public-facing historical and cultural programs.
Major Responsibilities:
- Conducting research for upcoming events
- Assisting with preparing event materials
- Assisting with event set-up and check-in
- Ticket processing and customer service
- Community engagement and promotional outreach
The Spring 2027 program will run from Monday, February 22, through Friday, April 30, 2027. Interns must be available for events on the following dates: February 22, March 10, April 7, and April 28.
The intern in this position will receive an hourly rate of $17.00 for the part-time, 120-hour program.
Qualifications
We require excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to projects.
